Brief info
Melani is the Advocacy Coordinator at Washington Trails Association (WTA). She grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, connecting with the outdoors through local parks and yearly family vacations to the Outer Banks, NC. She attended college in New York City then moved to Seattle, spending a decade as an environmental educator at organizations including Nature Vision and the Seattle Aquarium. She then returned to graduate school at Antioch University’s Urban Environmental Education program and worked in community engagement before starting at WTA. From finding nature in NYC to scuba diving in Seattle, she loves nature when it’s as local as it gets.
