An open source software engineer by day, trails advocate by night, Jakob has been involved in various Washington communities all his life. He is passionate about community involvement when it comes to trails and finding creative solutions to bring government and community groups together. Jakob is a founding organizer of LinuxFest Northwest, a large annual open source technology conference in Bellingham, WA. When he is not coding and organizing, Jakob loves to get outdoors and enjoys 4×4 technical trails, overlanding, hiking, downhill mtn biking, and skiing. Currently he serves on the board of the Washington Off Highway Vehicle Alliance, and has volunteers in DNR areas including Walker Valley, Reiter Foothills, and the Yacolt Burn.
